Should We Ally
with Israel?

The Refugees

For the past 62 years, millions of Palestinians have been living as refugees in areas of the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and in surrounding host countries—mostly in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has described their plight as “by far the most protracted and largest of all refugee problems in the world today.” (Source)

This third video deals with the issue of the “refugees.”  In the short video, Danny Ayalon offers an explanation for why there are still refugees after more than six decades—the refusal of Arab leaders to accept their brethren and the creation of a new agency by the United Nations, which applies unique principles and criteria to Palestinian refugees. The discussion also highlights the story of the Jewish refugees who were forced out of their homes in the Arab world and were subsequently absorbed by the State of Israel.
