Greensboro, NC (January 2, 2016) — Free Think University is pleased to announce that Lakin Wren has won a $500 scholarship, as part of The River Scholars Program.
“I’m really grateful to be a River Scholar and to be a part of the Free Think University community,” Lakin said. “I want to know what I believe, why it matters, and live well in response. This program has helped make that a reality.”
Lakin attends Eastern Kentucky University where she is studying nursing. She will graduate in 2016.
“We created Free Think University to support experiences like this,” said co-founder Jim Van Eerden. “We exist to serve students like Lakin and her family and educational mentors.”
