Does Free Trade Exploit the Poor?

When private entrepreneurs gain freedom to conduct business in a free market, they will naturally hire poor people for a low wage and get rich off them, right?  So goes the modern view for many people when it comes to free markets.  They assume that the free market always promotes greed and that the only way to the top of the ladder is by stepping on the knuckles of others.  But this has another side to it.  In this segment, all sides of how the poor are affected by another’s prosperity are considered.
