Why does the idea of a “god” persist in modern times?  How do we know such a God?  Why adhere specifically to the God of the Bible?  Can scientists really believe in the miraculous?  What is the basis for understanding the “laws” and order of the universe?  Do we still believe in “magic”?  Is there something that explains all else, or what the Greeks referred to as “The Logos,” from which all else comes?  These are the questions that begin the debate.
