In the final session, Knott discusses what happened in the years following the 1994 “Republican Revolution.” As things changed and distractions grew, the clarity of the contract began to fade and with it the strength of its movement. Knott explores the late 1990s, the Lewinsky scandal and its effects, the presidency of George W. Bush, the election of Barack Obama and the rise of the Tea Party. He concludes with lessons learned and how conservatives can once again be the dominant ethos in congress again.
