Is There a Cure
for Poverty?

Justice for the Poor

The wealthy West tends to focus on the material differences between the “rich” and the “poor.” We are inundated with news of the growing income gap, and those in the developing world are all too often defined by how many dollars they live on each day. But many of the real gaps—the real injustices—are immaterial ones below the surface.

In this section, we dig into the foundations upon which prosperous societies have been built. Host Michael Miller shows us how things like property rights and rule of law are essential elements of development. Sometimes the base soil of a nation’s economy is more important than simple access to capital. In the following video, leading development experts discuss these factors. We are also introduced to Joshua Omoga, who explains how these principles affect his small business in Kenya. Join Michael Miller in exploring the crucial importance of these foundations, as well as the spiritual dimension of these issues.
