Is the 2nd Amendment
Worth Protecting?

Conclusion

All debates will in some way draw upon the timeless conversations humans have about the Great Ideas.  In this case, the discussion of gun control, gun rights, and the Second Amendment can be examined through the frames of democracy, self-government, citizenship, freedom, liberty, and other such ideas. Studying and discussing these broader ideas will help you make better sense of specific and current topics such as gun control.  Much of the great literature, of course, predates the existence of guns. However, it still discusses violence, its causes, and its cures. Become better equipped to enter this larger conversation by reading the following great works.
