There are many popular books that present excerpts from authors on various character qualities. Perhaps the best-known example in recent years is Bill Bennett’s best-seller, The Book of Virtues, in which the table of contents is organized around the Greek virtues.

This course is organized around aspects of “Americanism” that make the image of our nation (and its citizens) unique. You are a representative of one of the most remarkable “nation-brands” in the history of the world.
